Songs as an Asset Class

Where culture meets capital.
Understanding music as more than art, it is infrastructure, investment, and identity.

About Me

Hi, I’m Ravdeep Anand. I’m the founder of Fairplay, a next-generation music and IP licensing platform that helps creators, rights holders, and brands collaborate seamlessly. With a catalogue of over 5,000 tracks from India’s leading independent and regional artists, I’m building licensing with transparency and an artist-first philosophy.Alongside Fairplay, I’ve launched VFLAMBDA, an experimental lab for creative innovation, and Perfunktory, my platform exploring the intersections of culture, tech, and the creative economy. My work spans music, media, brand strategy, and beyond.I’ve spoken at conferences including All About Music, RISE DEL, and Measure of Music, where I share ideas on the future of songs, rights, and culture.

The Idea

What it means
Songs generate income every time they’re streamed, synced, or performed. That makes them function like assets, not just art.
Why it matters
Streaming, sync deals, fandom, and catalogue sales are reshaping how the global music business works. Songs are becoming one of the most reliable asset classes in the creative economy.
What I do here
This project is about education and perspective. I’m exploring how culture, capital, and creativity intersect. Nothing here is financial advice, just insights and stories about the future of songs.
